From HOD’s Desk
Competitiveness of India Food & agribusiness system requires and efficient and effective management of resources along the value chains. Human resources are major pillars of competitiveness. Availability of adequately skilled human resources remains a challenge in Indian Agribusiness even today. We at Department of Food Business Management and Entrepreneurship Development, NIFTEM are on a mission to mitigate this challenge. We nurture and hone the managerial and entrepreneurial abilities of the youth who shall enter the world of agribusiness sector with an acumen well suited to needs of the agro based industry.
To achieve this mission, we offer various courses related to Agribusiness Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Communication and Language Skills and other management disciplines at B.Tech. level. At post graduate level, we offer specialized courses like M.Tech. (Food Plant Operations Management), MBA (Food and Agribusiness Management) and Ph.D. programme. These programmes have been tailored to cater to the needs of Food and Agriculture Industry.
We have a vibrant team of faculty and researchers dedicated to this task. Our faculty comes with diverse expertise such as marketing, finance, operations management, agribusiness management. We aim to equip our students with a 360o view on management of agro-food value chains.
