About NCFF
NIFTEM Certification Fortification Facility (NCFF) at NIFTEM-Kundli aims to meet the critical need for a centralized, credible certification body in food fortification landscape of India. This body will serve to support India’s public health and food safety objectives, beginning with a focus on fortified staples like rice, wheat, oil, milk, and salt and premixes thereof. The NCFF responds to the growing demand for verified quality in fortified food products. This centralized facility will ensure consistent application of standards, support regulatory compliance, and enhance the credibility of both domestic and institutional fortification initiatives. This effort will directly support the Government of India’s nutritional goals under key welfare programs such as PDS, PM POSHAN, and ICDS.

Objectives
- To establish a nationally recognized Certification Body under NIFTEM-K.
- To certify Fortified food products and processes across Rice, wheat, edible oil, milk, and salt.
- To offer training, audits, and capacity-building support to industry stakeholders.
- To create a revenue-generating model through certification services
Scope of Certification Services
- Certification of fortified food products and standards, including Fortified Rice Kernels (FRK), wheat flour, edible oil, milk, and salt
- Food safety and hygiene compliance in alignment with FSSAI and relevant statutory standards
- Third-party audits, capacity assessments, and specialized industry training programs
